Course abstract

Traditional log houses construction types are one which well known in the world. Nowadays becoming more and more popular prefabricated log hauses. Differences are in production technology, production equipment and machine tools. Creating a log house technology process stream, it is important to build on the knowledge of log construction, transport to the construction site, construction and exploitation of the building. In production process is necessary to provide economic characteristics of log production, raw material planning, selecting techniques and technological investment.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge of the production log technological operations and the basic principles of log buildings, as well as log the history of the construction and manufacturing, disposable instruments, equipment and design software.
• Skills to find difernce between hand-made and prefabricated log house manufacturing technology and design, calculate log compaction height at any place, to find information about log production and operating current events at the internet.
• Competence to create a log house technological stream of production company, choose the appropriate processing tools and their proper practical use.
