Course abstract

Master theses (II) is a complex research of actual themes in forestry including ecosystem, sustainable and commercial aspects of the forest sector. Valid experimental work and methodological description of obtained empirical data. Analysis of previous research for elaboration of methodology of master theses. Collection of empirical data in corresponding study program.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

The development of the master's thesis [II] strengthens the master's student's knowledge about the development of work methodology and research for the collection of empirical materials. Skills are developed to search for and process information, plan and conduct research. As a result, the master student acquires the competence to independently describe the research methodology and conduct research in a laboratory or forest, etc. / The supervisor must submit a “Work Methodology”.

1. To continue the critical analysis of the literature in the development of the chosen work methodology.
2. Development of master's thesis methodology.
3. Carrying out research according to an individual work plan.
4. Carrying out research according to an individual work plan.
5. Carrying out research according to an individual work plan.

Requirements for awarding credit points

Work methodology must be developed and submitted to the supervisor.

The supervisor evaluates the work done and evaluates the successful work done with the credit “Master's Thesis III”.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

The Master's student justifies and describes the choice of the research object. Independently acquainted with the literature (not less than 5 literature sources) on the research methodology. Develops work methodology and submits it to the supervisor (s) for review and approval.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The research object has been successfully described, as well as the methodology of the master's thesis (not less than 5 literature sources) according to the instructions of the supervisors. Supervisors of the master's thesis evaluate the submitted work: both the description of the research object and the work methodology.
