Prerequisites for a complex forest management are forest reclamation and the improvement of infrastructure. The role of forest roads as transport routes to access every forest compartment and to ensure forest protection and timber transport. The necessity of specific technological equipment for the transport of different kinds of timber produced in logging.
This course is giving knowledge to students about importance of melioration and building roads for forest management, about conditions of projecting, building and maintenance forest infrastructure objects, about technological truck’s equipment for the transport of different kinds of timber and organisation of transportation works. As a result students have skills about preparation of projecting tasks for infrastructure objects, how to assess project and quality of fulfilled building works, how to organise the transport of timber. With all this knowledge students have competence to work as logging compartment master or logistic specialist.
