Course abstract

The study course provides knowledge of machine construction and the principal mechanism operating principles Acquired knowledge enables to understand basic operation of logging machinery and mechanisms to calculate the strength and power transfer principles.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

After studying the course the student will have:
knowledge of the logging that is applied to machine design and operating principles,
skills to carry out logging techniques of visual and technical assessment and aggregating options,
competence the level of expertise to advise the forest industry workers on the applicability of a given tree harvesting machine design.
