Course abstract

The study course is expected to provide the knowledge of foundation of technology, number of workers and machinery for timber harvesting in different conditions, as well as to train skills for preparing of logging patterns and schedule graphs. During the study course the methods of calculation of labour capacity and output in logging should to be obtained.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Students acquire more detailed knowledge about forest operations technology and machinery depending on particular set of circumstances. Skills are obtained how to calculate necessary number of workers and machines, to prepare logging pattern and schedule graph for defined cutting site. Obtained competence level is sufficient for solving practical everyday tasks of timber harvesting industry.
