Studying the course, students acquire the mathematical knowledge and skills needed for the further study of special subjects The first part of course includes matrix algebra, analytical geometry, limit of function, derivative of function and its applications, indefinite and definite integrals and its applications, elements of probability theory.
• Knowledge of elements of linear algebra, analytic geometry, limit of function, derivative of function and applications.
• Skills - calculate the determinant, find the solution of a system of linear equations, recognise and use the standard equation of a straight line, recognize and interpret the equations of an ellipse, hyperbola, parabola, circle, calculate the limits of the functions, use the different rules of differentiation to differentiate functions of one variables, use the different methods of integration to indefinite and definite integrals, calculate a area of plane figures, volume of rotation body, calculate the probability.
• Competence: of mathematical thinking, of handle symbols and formal mathematics language, of mathematical problem formulating and solving, of reasoning, of modeling, of aids and tools and of communication.
