Studying the course, students acquire the mathematical knowledge and skills needed for the further study of special subjects. The course includes matrix algebra, analytic geometry, limit of function, derivative of function and its applications, indefinite integrals, definite integrals and its applications.
• Knowledge of elements of linear algebra, elements of analytic geometry, limit of function, derivative of function and applications, indefinite and definite integrals;
• Skills calculate the determinant, recognise and use the standard equation of a straight line, recognize and interpret the equations of an ellipse, hyperbola, parabola, circle, calculate the limits of the functions, use the different rules of differentiation to differentiate functions of one variables, use the derived function to solve different problems, use the different methods of integration to indefinite and definite integrals, calculate a area of plane figures;
• Competence: of mathematical thinking, of handle symbols and formal mathematics language, of mathematical problem formulating and solving, of reasoning, of modeling, of aids and tools and of communication.
