Course abstract

The aim of the study course is to get acquainted with the classification of technological tests of different materials, the specifics of tests of products of different assortment. Acquires methods of testing sheets, pipes, wires, rod-like materials, acquires an idea of technological tests of various types of joints, gets acquainted with methods and standards for determining the weldability, malleability, pourability, toughness, machinability of metals.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge of the types of technological testing of various materials and assortments made from them. Assessment - test.
Skills to apply the acquired knowledge in solving specific theoretical and production tasks. Assessment - test and laboratory work reports.

Competence to use knowledge and skills in non-standard situations and in the development of original technological tests. Assessment - test.

The student performs homework, in which the most suitable material for the production of a specific product is selected and the necessary technological tests are selected.
