Course abstract

The students design drive mechanism of working machine nit the course project. It contains electric motor, clutch, reductor and chain or belt transmission. Students obtain design skill. The graphic part of project is computer aided design on three A1 sheets.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge – know calculation methods of different parts and mechanical drives and the procedure of design. Skills – can choose the method for calculation of technical tasks; consult manuals and the standards (ISO, LVS, DIN, EN) for solving practical tasks in design; can choose the technology in production of parts. Competence – are able to modulate tasks in machine science, carry out and supervise research, are knowing, informed and capable machine designers.
