Course abstract

The II part of the course introduces to art`s styles, movements, schools and artistic`s groups of the 20 century in Europe and USA. The content of the course promotes acquirement of diverse techniques of painting, graphic and sculpture in context of the modern art.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge - knowledge about development of the modern arrt history in 20 th century is enlarged in the II part of the course.
• Abilities - to paint using traditional painting techniques - oil, acrylic, watercolours, pastels. To select the most apropriatable painting technique for genre - painting. To combine diverse painting tehniques. To evolve creative abilities and imagination of pupils.
• Competence- to recognise modern art styles in architecture, fine arts and design. To structure pupils` comprehension about current events in the contemporary art. To integrate the principles of contemporary art. in the visul arts` lessons. To utilize the contemporary teaching methods in the art`s education for adults and children.
