Course abstract

The aim of this course is to provide students with modern technologies of the flower production. Students acquire the latest assortment of cut flowers and pot plants, learn how to choose plants on different interior styles, as well adopt cultivation conditions and propagation. Students learn various cut flowers and interior plants growing conditions and to make understanding on production standards.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge: depth knowledge and critical understanding about cut flowers and interior plants cultivation, technologies applied, flower sales, marketing and production standards. .
• Skills: to discuss about principles of choise the growing technologies, justify the application on assortiment. To practice the knowledge in horticultural companies, to understand the forcing and growing conditions of flowers.
• Competence: to realize the growing technology schedule, to calculate cultivation costs, to interpret the results and draw conclusions..
