The aim of the study course is to present the structure and operation of animal feed distribution equipment, water supply systems and equipment, manujre removal solutions, farm microclimate providing systems and ventilation equipment.
Knowledge - about the structure and operation of modern animal husbandry equipment, about modern technological systems used for feed distribution, water supply for pets, manure removal and storage, ensuring the microclimate of animal housing. Knowledge is assessed in tests and laboratory work.
Skills - to evaluate various livestock technological equipment and machinery according to their construction and constructive solution, as well as to develop engineering calculations, constructing new or improving existing livestock equipment. Skills are assessed in tests and laboratory work.
Competence - to use the acquired knowledge and skills necessary for agricultural engineers, taking care of modernization of animal husbandry technology and mechanization. Competences are assessed in tests and laboratory work.
1. Distribution of fodder in large cattle barns - 3h
2. Distribution of feed in pig barns and poultry houses - 3h
3. Litter, manure removal equipment - 3h
4. Liquid manure removal systems. Mechanization of works in manure storages - 3h
5. Supply of animal housing with hot and cold water - 2h
6. Provision of microclimate in animal housing - 2h
Type of examination test with a mark. All laboratory work must be developed, tests must have a positive evaluation
Preparation for tests using the literature indicated in the study program and consulting with the lecturer of the study course
Assessment of the study course depends on the cumulative assessment of the examination task and study course tests.
Students can have a successful grade for the test and examination, if at least 50% of the test questions are answered correctly.
Examination grade is calculated as the mean average of the average results of the tests passed in the animal farming and plant growing mechanisation sections.
