Course abstract

The course project design is based on theoretical knowledge in business courses in agriculture, agricultural law, forage production and livestock production acquired by the students. The livestock production scheduling under certain conditions, applied technology cost estimates, production of risk management planning. For the course project development students are getting data from a particular farm or preparing a business plan to start production of livestock products.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

From the development of course project students will reinforce theoretical knowledge of livestock production, which plays an important role of environmental factors, the resulting product quantity and quality, the main production costs and reduce efficiency.
Students will be able to assess the species and age groups of animals and birds, in the most appropriate ways to feed them with the necessary nutrients, choose the most appropriate technologies for keeping assess the quality of the resulting product. Will be able to make the necessary livestock enterprise production cost and revenue planning, to draw conclusions about management perspectives.
Students will be competent to evaluate different species of forage, to assess the quality of prepared animal feeds, choose the most suitable breeds selected production direction, to evaluate the technologies applied in keeping with the circumstances, to evaluate the competitiveness of the sector.
