Course abstract

Study and characterization of the crop production level of farm. Design of crop rotation system for farm in connection with the soil and climat conditions. Planning of soil tillage and weed control in the crop rotation. Cours work has to be carried out for real or modelfarm, or based on results of experimental work.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

1. Students will obtainthe knowledges and skills necessary for planning crop rotation design in farm, for valuation of farm’s production level.
2. They will raise competence to rational land use, to motivate decisions related to the complex measures for crop rotation systems, soil tillage and weed control.

3. This competences is necessary for students as future farmer or farmer advisors.

1. The aim of cours work, assignments, actuality, theoretical and practical signification.
2. Literature review
3. Characteristics of farm. The specialization of farm, amount of production Land use (explication).
4. Characteristic of previous or existing crop rotation or crop sequence.
5. Organization of crop rotation systems
6. The characteristic of territory circumstances. Land use capability groups..
7. To draw up the plan of crop rotation disign for future
8. To project up the crop rotation systems
9. Plan of crop rotation , the reason of crop sequence in crop rotation.
10. The recquire plan of crop rotation.
11. The table of crop rotation’s period.
12. Soil fertility management in crop rotation
13. The plan of soil tillage and weed control in crop rotation

14. Presentation of cours work and defence..

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Self-dependent studys of literature and output of cours work to agree with assigned the task.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

Corresponding qualitative accomplished by drraw-up appointed, fulfil one’s task, positively defended cours work.
