Course abstract

The course provides the knowledge of the diesel fuel supply system, the structural characteristics of the construction and operational principles. Students acquire practical skills for power system low pressure parts sprayer and injection pump operation inspection in the regulation on the bench. Students learn how to check the correct operation of the diesel engine injection pump fuel supply. Acquire knowledge to the diesel engine's departures from the technical requirements, analyze the causes and the refusal to comply with the technical service.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge: diesel power system design in structure and operating principles
• Skills: to verify and assess the diesel power system components; adjust the spray nozzle, sprayer, fuel quality, control the functioning of the fuel system for diesel fuel and to organize power system maintenance jobs.
• Competence: choose and justify operating conditions more suitable technique in most diesel engines fuel feeding system; independently resolving technical issues in a diesel engine fuel feeding system without fault activity.
