Course abstract

The place of practical work is LUA Research and training farm “Vecauce”. Main points of study course covers LUA RTF “Vecauce” history, current situation and future perspectives, farms resources for manufacturing and their characterization. Characterization of crop production, horticulture, animal husbandry, biogas and wood processing branches in farm. The first processing and storage of agricultural production. Non-traditional forms of farming. Strategic, every day and financial management-model and implementation.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge - about the functionality of different agricultural sectors, their relationship and technological processes of production;
Skills - to recognize different agricultural sectors in multi sectorial agricultural holding;

Competence - to formulate obtained knowledge, form and defend practice report, what indicates on students competence to discuss and analyze different agricultural sectors.

Requirements for awarding credit points

Successfully completed practice program and assignments, submission of practice report (up to 5 pages) and presentation - in group.
