Course abstract

The course introduces students to the world of known and applied software engineering best practices, taking into account the Latvian existing legislative framework and specificity. In the learning process are discussed about software development process and related activities by analyzing both the approach described, and based on practical experience. Students are involved in different range of skills tasks to be carried out independently. The knowledge gained students use the course work development.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

As a result of acquiring the study course students get:
knowledge about software engineering role in software development process and software engineering good practice;
skills in using IT industry standards, analyzing software requirements and system designing, as well as in dealing with project documents;
competence in organizing and working in groups, dealing with software documentation using software engineering standards.
