The course of the subject “Geographic Information systems” is designed for students, having aim to become acquainted to use this knowledge’s as base to assure measures Geographic information systems support in different situations to perspective jobs or professional activities in surveying, building construction works, real property, land management and other agricultural or forestry sectors. The program relates to comprehensive preparation of cadastral, agricultural, forestry and other specialists to rural area. Knowledge, acquired in learning process, can be used in land management.
• Knowledge and understanding about substance, contents, potentialities, necessity and exploitation of Geographic information systems.
• Skills – in future Professional business responsibility to know process identification of Geographic information systems potentialities to bring into effect, to be understand definite work tasks to specialists of Geographic information systems creators and providers. Initial level practical skills for use systems.
• Competence - acquirements in general outline valuation to usable Geographic information systems support in current users professional works.
