Course abstract

The aim of the study course is to be familiar with electrical equipment constructions and working, agricultural objects and enterprise of electric supply and electrical equipment maintenance and repair work specificity; the company’s overhead and cable lines, electrical circuits, electrical equipment selection, protection of electric equipment, safety techniques for working with electrical equipment.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge - about the energy supply of industrial and agricultural objects and enterprises and the specifics of maintenance and repair of energy equipment – a practice report.
Skills - to calculate and choose the required energy equipment – a practice report.

Competence - to carry out maintenance and repair of energy equipment, assess the situation in the company's energy supply – a practice report.

Course Content(Calendar)

Full time intramural studies:
1. General acquaintance with the object of practice. Get acquainted with safety equipment when working with electrical equipment - 40h.
2. Analysis of technical, technological and energy economic documentary information - 40h.
3. Observe how appropriate energy equipment is selected in specific technological processes - 40h.
4. To get acquainted with the energy equipment used in technological processes, their structure and operating principle - 40h.
5. Registration of observations of energy equipment maintenance and repair works and participation in executive works - 40h.
6. Compilation and application of knowledge acquired during practice in performing works - 40h.
Part time extramural studies:

All topics specified for full time studies are accomplished

Requirements for awarding credit points

Oral examination, during which you have to answer the questions related to the practice report.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

During the practice, the student has to learn the peculiarities and methods of operation of energy equipment. The student's knowledge must be included in the practice report.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The assessment of the study course exam depends on the ability to defend the knowledge of practice in the practice report.
