Course abstract

The aim of the study course is to acquire business concepts in energy supply, including planning, marketing , production costs , product prices. Business regulation in energy supply and energy production facilities, licensing conditions and the working area are being studied. Principles of tariffs determination, and responsibility for non-compliance with energy branch business norms and rules is being discussed as well.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge - entrepreneurship concept in energy business – test with a mark;
Skills - to choose appropriate form of entrepreneurship based on energy branch subbranches and customer preferences specifics – tests;

Competence - to provide business and consultations for entrepreneurs in energy business – test with a mark.

All topics specified for full time studies are accomplished, but the number of contact hours is one half of the number specified in the calendar

Requirements for awarding credit points

Tests with a mark.
The test consists of:
theoretical part test;
task on the topics acquired in the study course.

Students are admitted to the tests only if the independent works have been credited.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Students independently perform practical work tasks.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

Evaluation of study results is based on the student's answers during the test. It is also possible to get a maximum rating of 10 (excellent) if all the work is done on time, and the student has given the appropriate knowledge.
