Course abstract

The aim of the course is, by acquiring theoretical basics and economical regularity in microeconomical and in macroeconomical level, to understand its practical opportunity to use it. To understand macroeconomical relationship and tendencies in Latvia Economy

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge - the ability to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of theoretical principles and regularities of micro-and macro-level, ability to understand and be competent in viewpoint if various economic schools, the understanding of major economic scientific and practical principles and regularities, the ability to critically evaluate different views of the Latvian economic situation.
Skills - to understand the possibilities of practical use of theoretical knowledge, to make the basic microeconomic and macroeconomic analysis, to plan efficient use of resources according to production capacity in market conditions, to make independent conclusions of the Latvia economic development and growth opportunities.
Competence - the ability on the basis of full and comprehensive theoretical knowledge and the regularities independently obtain, select, and systematize the information necessary to analyze and solve problems, take a reasoned decision, develop proposals.
