Course abstract

The study course deals with the general principles of integrated application software packages and their use in document, spreadsheet and presentation processing. The possibilities of software’s are extended by recording, testing and editing of macroses.

Learning outcomes and their assessment


After studying the course the student will:
• Knowledge of application software packages of the structure, capability and application areas;
• skills in practice different types of documentation and presentation material development, matching and demonstration;
• competencies, working group or through work independently, be able to develop record-keeping documentation, calculations and presentation materials.

Course Content(Calendar)

1. Preparing the forms in the text processing application.
2. Creation and usage of styles.
3. Splitting a document into sections.
4. Automatic numbering of images, tables and formulas.
5. Formatting of the large-scale documents and table of contents creation.
6. Different slide layout: adding and use. Change the slides formatting.
7. Usage of control buttons and hyperlinks in the presentation processing application. Creation of presentation templates. Saving the presentation to other file formats.
8. Calculations and charts in the spreadsheets.
9. Usage of ready-made functions.
10. Creating of complex functions.
11. Creation and usage of a database.
12. Data sorting, standard filter and advanced filter.
13. Pivot tables and pivot charts.
14. File archiving. Opening and saving.
15. Working with macros (creation, editing, and usage) in the spreadsheet, word processing and presentation processing application.
16. Creation and usage of user functions.

Requirements for awarding credit points

All practical works must be prepared accepted.

The student study online learning tools to strengthen knowledge.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The final assessment consists of the arithmetic mean of all practical work.
