Course abstract

Teaching practice students get acquainted with the topographic survey of the way in which one of the main subjects of geodesy. Student strengthens and deepens the theoretical knowledge and gain practical skills in topographic surveying and geodetic work in other ways. Student practice become acquainted with the work environment, one may have to operate.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• knowledge of the geodetic instruments, the geodetic measurement types the methods of horizontal surveying, the making and projection of graphical materials;
• skills to use the theoretical knowledge in practice: to establish and measure horizontal surveying support net, to make the measurements of the situation and terrain using different approaches, to evaluate the accuracy of measurement, to process and compile the results of measurements performed, to work carefully and accurately, to work independently as well as in a team, to design measurement documents based on the requirements;
• competence to independently access, select and analyze information necessary for the work, and use it to make decisions and to address problems with an executable work, understanding of professional ethics
