Course abstract

Reliability estimation of structures during design, manufacturing, erection and exploitation is acquired. The effect of dispersion of material properties, geometrical characteristics and loads as well as durability of statically determined and undetermined structures is discussed. Estimation principles of damages in structures as well as re-computation and strengthening of structures is mastered.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge about reliability estimation of structures; skills to use the reliability principles in real projects; competence to perform reliability estimation of cross-section according to strength, stability and evaluate the acquired results.
