Course abstract

The master student acquire the deepened knowledge on soil stability in both - slopes and subbase, on stresses and deformations in subbase soils, on methods used for determination of settlement taking into account the time factor including practical applications of rheology theory in soil mechanics.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

After completing the course student will have:
• deepened knowledge on processes generated in subbase soil under external actions, on deformation and stability concepts ;
• skills for describing (definition) and solution of problem using theoretical background, and to perform the professional activities in branch;
• competence for acquiring, selection and data analysis on processes, generated in subbase soils, to solve the problems dealt with the deformation and stability of soils.
