Course abstract

Theoretical knowledge and the strengthening, acquaintance of the ongoing construction site processes, human resources recruitment, quality of execution. Works manager or master the functions. Knowledge of design and technological documentation for the movement of the site. Works use the latest techniques and technological processes, making their analysis and report writing practices. Practical skills in construction management.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Acquired knowledge of the construction of technological processes, human movement and required documentation site. Acquired the skills of the construction organization, management, document handling, quality control and movement of construction materials. Expertise in construction management, human resources recruitment, documentation of site circulation and building technological processes.
Course results - Practice report (report), presentation of practice report, completed practice diary, individual assignment, positive feedback from practice in the workplace. Test with a mark.

Course Content(Calendar)

1. Introducing the construction company and its operation and construction object. Familiarization with the requirements of work safety and labor protection at the construction site. Acquisition of functions of construction manager.
2. Execution of individual task. Getting to know the technological documentation on the site.
3. Production excursions. Work organization at the construction site. Materials compilation for practice review.

Requirements for awarding credit points

A review of production technological practice must be submitted and defended, prepared presentation, completed practice diary, positive feedback from the practice supervisor in the workplace. Test with a mark.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

To be able to apply the acquired knowledge to the technological practice of production, to complete the individual task, to draw up a practice report, to prepare a presentation (volume at least 10 slides).

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The student is able to confirm the knowledge and skills acquired in the course plan (answering control questions)
The assessment of the course depends on the content of the practice report, the feedback from the practice supervisor's workplace, the cumulative assessment of the individual task and the practice presentation.
