Course abstract

Goal of the course is to teach about construction processes on construction site and its network; applied technologies to build structural part of the building. Review construction work planning methods and existing norms.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

After studying the course the student will have strengthened, expanded and systematized theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of legislation, construction law; construction work processes, technology, construction work planning, organizing and conducting on site. Exam.
Acquired the necessary skills to elaborate works of the organization (performance) project (construction schedule, construction master plan, construction of technological systems and quality assurance plan), acquired skills in the organization of works on construction sites. Test work.
Will have the competence - the ability to develop a process for planning and construction management work for the project. Ability to comply with building codes appropriate technology works, prepare and execute files, as well as to determine the protective measures. The ability to monitor the construction process for the completed work of technical and quality control of completed work records check out covered works. Exam.

1. Designing of construction organizations and construction projects. The estimated study time is 1 h
2. Designing a general construction plan. The estimated study time is 1 h
3. Methodology for developing a calendar plan. The estimated study time is 1 h
4. Temporary building, road design. Water and electricity supply for construction site. The estimated study time is 1 h
5. Calculation of workload and number of days. The estimated study time is 6 h
6. Monolithic reinforced concrete construction technology. The estimated study time is 1 h
7. Formwork systems and selection criteria. The estimated study time is 1 h
8. New trends in monolithic concrete technology (bubble deck, post-tensioned concrete). The estimated study time is 0.25 h
9. Special features of high-rise construction. The estimated study time is 0.25 h
10. Assembly of prefabricated structures. The estimated study time is 1 h
11. Methodology and calculation of selection of assembly mechanisms. The estimated study time is 1 h
12. Air Construction Technology and Construction Process. The estimated study time is 0.25 h
13. Dismantling Technology (Mechanical, Chemical, Hydraulic). The estimated study time is 0.25 h
14. Quality and control of construction works. The estimated study time is 1 h

Requirements for awarding credit points

At least 80% of all classes must be attended.
A project for practical work, a successfully passed test must be submitted.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Independently prepare for the Exam; independently carry out the project, calculating the required amount of concrete, reinforcement and formwork, to carry out the calculation of the load-bearing and delimiting structures, to choose a graphical method, to calculate the workload and to draw up a calendar plan.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The student is able to confirm the acquired knowledge and skills on the issues discussed in the course plan in response to the examination questions.
