Course abstract

The aim of the course is to introduce students with basic principles of agricultural building designing. Students learn kinds of building and classification, fire- prevention measures, choise of production zone site and general plan design. Students are introduced with most characteristic building construction schemes, agricultural technologies, regulations, building planning

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge: Basicsof designing of Agricultural structures. Development of technological processes. Details of building and structures. Assessment: mark in course project. Skills: Developing of structural drawings. Using structural terms. Providing fire protection norms and demands.Developing necessary design documentation for draft or technical Project. Be competent in tender of building material, comperability and expenses. To have the good knowledges in properties of building materiāls. To know the fundamental demands to structures. Assessment: mark in course project. Competences: To be able develop arhitecture part of designs of structures. To take into the consideration requirements to designing of location of technological equipments. To manage evaluation , expertation and coordination of projects. To notice environmental demands. Assessment: mark in course project.

1. Forecast on livestock farms in our country and abroad. Overview of projects, journals, prospectuses
2. Technological calculations: herd structure, parking areas and pen areas, feed, manure passages
3. Design of the barn
4. Quantities of manure and feed, calculation of storage facilities. Sketches of genplanes. Technically economic comparison
5. Design schemes and design choices of the production building. Cross-section of the building
6. Heat losses of the building. Thermal calculation of walls
7. Thermal engineering calculation of the roof and ceiling.
8. Longitudinal section of the building
9. Simplified calculation and design of the bases. Depth of foundation building. Basic plans

A draft course should be developed and defended

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

The draft course shall be drawn up in accordance with a calendar plan issued by the instructor. Drawing sheets must draw up a master plan on a topographical plan, two facade, building plan, cross-cutting and longitudinal cut, foundation, cover and roof plans, at least three knots. Specifications for buildings and materials. Explanatory article.
