Course abstract

General information on industrial construction. Classification of structures. Basic principles of construction design, building materials, industrial territories. Constructive elements of structures. Kind of industrial structures. Students design, learn to analyze real projects Elementary design calculations.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• The course develops knowledge and understanding of conceptual foundation of building process, details, drawing design, gives students practical issues of draft design.
• The course enables students to make construction drawing, critical evaluable details, functional use of materials and calculations of strength and energy efficiency.
• Competence to evaluate functional meaning of human environment and elements, evaluate affordable building constructions, to make simple calculation of bearing and external constructions.
