Course abstract

General information on industrial construction. Classification of plants of industrial structures. Layouts. Basic principles of construction projection, building materials. Industrial territories. Constructive elements of structures. Kind of industrial structures. Subsidiary structures and premises. Practical work students residential conceptual design, learn to analyze real projects. Sanitary technics: heating, ventilation, water supply, sanitation.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• The course develops knowledge and understanding of conceptual foundation of building process, building materials, details contents of projects, drawing design, gives students theoretical and practical issues of draft design industrial houses.
• The course enables students to make construction drawing, critical evaluate building details, functional use of materials and calculations of strength and energy efficiency.
• Competence to evaluate functional meaning of human environment and elements, evaluate affordable building constructions, to make simple calculation of bearing and eternal constructions.
