Course abstract

In the study course students get acquainted with the design of drawings of building structures and engineering structures, learn drawing and project design standards and regulations, develop a set of drawings in computer equipment, get acquainted with the requirements of building plans, sections, facades and assemblies and drawings. Drawing, design and printing of various architectural elements, construct a 3D model of a building in Revit software.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

•Knowledge of engineering building drawing standards and regulations, project content and design, which will be assessed when passing the test.
• Skills to develop drawings in computer equipment, to prepare drawings of buildings in 3D format, to develop drawings in AitoCAD and 3D model in Revit sofware.
• Competence to prepare building plans, facades, sections, drawings. Preparing printed drawings.

Requirements for awarding credit points

It is necessery to successfully write a test on the study material, present a set of printed drawings and a digitally developed set of drawings and 3D Revit model, receiving a test with a mark.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Students must independently develop and design a set of drawings for a residential house with software AutoCAD.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The developed work evaluates the principles of observing the basic rules of drawing in relation to the design of drawings and technical performance, as well as the correctness of the technological application of the solutions depicted in the drawings and the application of AutoCAD basic drawing conditions. Fulfillment of Revit 3D design conditions.
